
It’s the first day of Spring, and the Mariners are tied for the most wins in baseball!
Flashback Friday: June 28th, 2012. John Jaso hits a walkoff single to score Casper Wells as the Mariners beat the Red Sox 1-0, giving Felix Hernandez the win after pitching 9 innings of scoreless ball.
“Line drive,base hit! Here comes Wells! Here comes the throw by Ross! The play at the plate is…not in time! Mariners win it 1-0! John Jaso comes up big again in a pinch hit!”
Flashback Friday: May 13th, 2012, Casper Wells, a New York native, hits a two-run shot on Mother’s Day in front of his mom at Yankee Stadium, finishing up the day with another RBI single as he puts on a show to remember, beating the Yankees, 6-2.
“Goes right side, down the line, got some carry, HITS THE FAIR POLE AND IT”S GONE! A two run homer by New York native, Casper Wells in his debut game here at Yankee Stadium, and the Mariners have a 4-0 lead!”

M;s win the series, and more importantly, the season finale, 12-0, thanks to some great offense by Casper who drove in 5 runs, and Jesús who gets 3 RBI as the Mariners finish the season at 75-87, a eight game improvement from last year!
(Side Note: The M’s finish up with 8 players with 10+ home runs for the first time since 1997!)

M’s take the second game of the series vs. the Angels by a score of 6-1, thanks to some great offense!
(Side Note: Kyle Seager becomes the first Mariner to hit 20 home runs since 2009!)
